My name is Henry, I live in Zermatt, Switzerland, I am a photographer and a skier.

I love taking photographs. My first camera was a Konica Pop. I remember opening it on the way back home from school for my 9th birthday. Since then I have always taken pictures and gathered shoe boxes full of negatives, prints and slides.

I am a Nikon user and have been for a long time now, I shoot with a D3s and it is awesome, the most incredible camera. I love capturing the moment, whether it is on the mountain or on location, I enjoy playing with lighting and trying create new and interesting shots with flash.

I first started taking photography seriously taking pictures of skiing. Being a skier I understand the sport and what makes good images. Being a ski instructor makes me really critical of technique and really helps in getting great shots that work.

life
I live in the mountains which is pretty cool, except they are a long way from the sea! I own and run Summit Ski & Snowboard School in Zermatt with my wife and a good friend. We have been in the Alps for 12 years now and have made it our home. If I am not skiing, taking pictures or hanging out with my family then I am probably windsurfing. I am a keen windsurfer and love being in the water so regularly head to the beach whenever I can. I am married to Erica, and we have an amazing son who has been the best addition to our lives and is a great photo model to have around!

I have had work published in The Daily Telegraph, Dark Summer Magazine, Fall Line, also on the Ellis Brigham, Natives and Soulsports websites and by Fat Face. I have also shot for Ski Verbier, Fall Line, R21, Altitude Ski and Snowboard School and Summit Ski and Snowboard School.
